  • Plenty of used books to stock up your store with. You should have at least 1500-2000 used books to start off with and can grow your collection with time.

    Library sales, book auctions, sales at other book stores, and even garage sales are great places to source used books for your used book store. Apart from these, the internet is also a veritable treasure trove for those looking to stock up on used books.

    2. Online Used Book Store

    To start an online used book store, you do not need a physical space but do need to have your presence on the internet. In other words, you have to create a website from where you will sell your used books.

    A collection of used books will be needed for an online used book store as well. Make sure you have some place to keep all your used books since you will not have a physical store to stock them in.

    Thus, you can go in for either of these two options for starting your used book store. In fact, once your business starts to make some profit, you can even have both types of used book stores - a physical store as well as an online presence.

  • You can never have enough used books for sale. So, always be on the lookout for more and more books to add to your used book collection.
